Functional Assessments @ Rehab +

Functional Assessments/Corrective Exercises

Suffer any pain when exercising or struggling with something in training?

Want to improve mobility, increase strength, and advance in your training?

Want to learn how to achieve your optimal, pain and injury free body?

Our therapists provide appropriate assessments based on your symptoms or presenting concern. Assessments can be performed at the start, during and after your consultation.

Functional Assessments can identify:

  • biomechanical issues that may be contributing to pain
  • muscular imbalances and firing patterns
  • over/under active, strong/weak muscles
  • compensation patterns
  • structural or postural issues
  • form or technique issues

Functional Assessments help:

  • reduce pain
  • prevent injury
  • correct posture
  • improve athletic performance
  • increase muscle activation and growth
  • increase flexibility
  • identify contributions to re-occurring pain or problems

When conducting functional assessments, therapists may ask you to engage in exercise, to better analyse your movement patterns to ensure you gain the best form of treatment.

Corrective exercises are often provided after as part of our treatment plan to provide you with long-term results in reducing pain, increasing strength and functionality, improving posture and athletic performance.
